Problems With Geography

This is Zoe reporting in from the moon...oh...wait...

My geography (college level mind you) class is really testing my patience. However, it does has its moments. Observe:

My latest and greatest geography quiz:

Which of the following is probably the most accurate explanation for the global influence of Europe in areas of trade, intellectual endeavors, science and military prowess?
A) Europeans are somehow a superior breed of humans.

I was almost half tempted to pick this answer just because of how awesome it is. A super breed of human? Oh, yes. It struck me funny because I'm always drawing superheroes in my Geography class (Hey, when you have ADD, it is the most you can do without getting in trouble.) Something like this was funny because I know we all  wish that there were a super breed of humans. We could actually have superheroes!

This geek is dreaming though.
Peace,

In a galaxy far away....

The is me Zoe, blogging to you from Mars. Over.

Not.

In my geography class we had to take a test, which I studied for so that I could get 100%, but I ended up with an 85%. Why?
Take a look for yourself:

I'm sorry, but do the aliens on Mars use different measurements than us on Earth? Did I really just lose a 1.5 points because I forgot to put 'on earth' at the end of my answer. This is a little ridiculous. I'm sorry that I forgot to put 'on earth' at the end of my answer. I learned my lesson and I will make sure that I add 'on earth' at the end of my answers to questions like these.

No, I've changed my mind. At the end of questions like these I'm going to put 'on Mars' just to show my professor how dumb this is, and then I'm going to go back to her and ask for my points back. I'm sorry, I added units, and I thought that was supposed to cover everything.

The world is slowly being taken over by things like this. >insert long drawn out sigh here< Smart people are rare these days.

Live long and prosper.

Consumed by College

Hello, Zoe here. I'm not dead, I swear. I'm actually writing to you from another universe that is light years away from earth. The people here are nice and they speak my language, which is an added bonus. We are able to communicate telepathically. Want to know where I'm at? It's called: My Mind. Hey, at least I'm in it and not out of it. Though, all the best people are completely mad.

A current update on my life:

Age: Almost 19, my birthday is a month away! (October 25th)
Relationship: Single. (Boys are silly.)
School Level: College Freshmen
Classes: English 121, Math 090, Sociology 101, Geography 105

Right now, it is currently raining outside, with a few bolts of lighting and rumbling thunder on the side. I like the rain, it reminds me of Washington. Though, I hate having to go outside and fear that I am going to get struck by lightning. Though, the awesome superhero powers that I'd get would be worth the excruciating pain of millions of bolts of electricity fly through my body.

Kidding! I'd be dead. Dead = Not good.

I don't have much to say, only that college is going well. You would think that a Valedictorian would be at a university on a full-ride scholarship. WRONG. The government doesn't care enough to fund education and make it easier on us smart people to go to school. Why do the people who don't want to go to school get all of the scholarships when I have to worry if I'll have enough money to pay for future semesters. After second semester, if I can't get any money from scholarships or grants, I'll have to drop out of college. I won't even be able to get an AA degree, which is one degree short of what I was going for. Lovely.

I think I'll move to Japan.

Peace

My Theory of Time

I call it 'The Triangle Effect' or 'The Triangle Theory of Time'. It is a thought that I had and developed for one of my stories. Here's a simple drawing, but I'll explain it later:

Summing it up

Hello, Zoe here. I started blogging in 2008 with nothing important to say...I probably don't have anything important to say to anyone. That's what blogging is right? So much to say and so few that care?
Here is my current status:

Age: 18 (and a half. My birthday is October 25th)
Relationship: Single and proud. (Goodness, that reminds me of the line 'Mutant and proud').
Grade: 12th (graduating this year!)
GPA: 3.83
Current State: Solid....lol....Colorado.
Classes I'm taking:  Japanese 1B, English 4B, Creative Writing 1B, Music Appreciation, Blended Class

What the stink is a Blended Class?

I'm glad you asked. I am enrolled in an online high school (public school didn't work out for me). It is working out great because I can move at the pace I want and take the classes I want. I wouldn't have been able to take Japanese in public school, which is the language I have been dying to learn. Anyhow, a blended class is an in-school class at the headquarters for our school. It is a mix of English, History, Math and Science, a blend of all the major classes. This semester we are studying the Medieval/Renaissance eras. Each student in the class had to pick a topic to research and present in front of the staff and the rest of the class (I chose Medieval Weaponry). But, we have to create personas and then act them out in our upcoming festival. We have to wear costumes and preform so sort of activity. I am working with a dance group and we are going to teach a couple of dances to the people that show up at our festival. But, honestly, I'm more excited about my costume. :-)

I am so cute and this costume is so comfortable! There is so much going on this week and next it isn't funny!

May 4 - Presentation, Dance class (2hr)
May 6 - Handing out flyers to the public to promote our festival
May 8 - Medieval Feast, My brother comes home from Afghanistan
May 11 - Banner, sign, ect. making
May 18 - Festival setup
May 19 - Festival
May 23 - All school work must be turned in
May 25 - GRADUATION!
